ArtEvol 2026 : A View from Everywhere
In October 2026, London Art Collective will present ArtEvol 2026: A View from Everywhere, a large-scale international group exhibition bringing together artists working across different cultures, disciplines and lived realities. Through an international Open Call, the exhibition seeks works that reveal how differently the same world can be seen, understood and represented.
The title begins with a simple contradiction: no one can see from everywhere. Every perspective is shaped by where we stand, what we have experienced and the structures through which we encounter the world. Rather than searching for a single, universal point of view, the exhibition places different positions alongside one another. Some may overlap; others may disagree or remain unresolved. Together, they form a view that belongs to no single person or place.
The exhibition will be presented through a salon-style display within the white cube. Works will appear in close proximity, creating unexpected connections across geography, medium and subject. Painting, sculpture, installation, photography, moving image, digital media and interdisciplinary practices are all welcome. The aim is not to flatten these differences into a shared message, but to allow each work to retain its own position while becoming part of a wider conversation.
Curated by Nelson Qin and organised by London Art Collective (LAC), A View from Everywhere will be selected by an international jury of curators, artists, critics and scholars. The jury will consider the clarity of each artist’s practice, the strength of the work and what it brings to the exhibition as a whole. The exhibition does not set out to offer a complete picture of the world. Instead, it asks what might become visible when many partial views are brought together.
ArtEvol 2026 : A View from Everywhere will select up to 50 artists through an open call to participate in an international group exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, London, in October 2026. The exhibition will spotlight emerging artistic practices that are redefining form, concept, and modes of existence in contemporary art.
Eligibility
ArtEvol is open to individual artists and artist collectives who meet the following criteria:
● We welcome submissions from individual artists and collectives of all nationalities. We encourage diverse voices and practices across all disciplines and geographies.
● Applicants must be 18 years of age or older by the application deadline.
● Artworks can be existing pieces, but we encourage you to submit new artworks.
● We understand some artists may face barriers to participation due to factors such as disability, gender, age, or ethnic background. London Art Collective welcomes applications from all artists and especially encourages those from marginalised communities. Selection Criteria
ArtEvol is open to individual artists and artist collectives who meet the following criteria:
●The strength, clarity and exploratory nature of the artist’s practice;
● A distinctive cultural, social or personal perspective;
● The work’s potential to create dialogue across career stages, generations and cultural backgrounds.
Submissions are open to all media and forms of artistic expression, including but not limited to:
Painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, sound, performance, text-based art, textile, and digital media.
ArtEvol welcomes artists at every stage of their careers, from emerging voices to established practitioners. By bringing together different generations, experiences and perspectives, A View from Everywhere aims to create a richer and more open view of contemporary art.
Every submission will be carefully considered; however, due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback.
Background and Heritage
Founded by London Art Collective in 2022, ArtEvol is an annual exhibition series bringing together artists from different generations, cultures and stages of practice. Across five editions in London and Paris, it has developed from an experimental platform for independent artists into an international curatorial project examining how contemporary art is produced, presented and valued.
The identity of ArtEvol emerged through its first four exhibitions, each marking a stage in the series’ development: Launch began with Neo Space in London in 2022, introducing a new generation of independent artists; Openness shaped On Purple: The Purpose of Hue in 2023, broadening the platform across artistic practices and cultural positions; Versus informed ROTOR in Paris in 2024, placing emerging practices in dialogue with history and tradition; and Exchange was explored through ART COLLECTIVE: From the One to the Many in London later that year, focusing on collaboration and collective production. Together, these stages formed L–O–V–E. Reversed as EVOL, the sequence became the conceptual foundation of ArtEvol, suggesting a continuing process of evolution rather than a fixed exhibition format.
Presented at Saatchi Gallery in 2025, ArtEvol: Voices from the Undefined brought these stages together under the wider idea of Evolution. The exhibition examined visibility, institutional recognition and practices that resist established definitions. It also marked ArtEvol’s transition from a sequence of exhibitions into an ongoing curatorial enquiry, with each edition carrying forward and reworking the questions of the last.
The sixth edition, ArtEvol 2026: A View from Everywhere, continues this trajectory by turning towards multiple perspectives, cultural difference and the distribution of discursive power. Bringing emerging and established artists into the same exhibition, it creates dialogue across generations, geographies and artistic positions.
ArtEvol’s long-term ambition is to develop an international exhibition model that can evolve across cities, institutions and communities—building sustained relationships between artists, audiences and cultural contexts while remaining responsive to what contemporary art might become.
