Made in Japan, 'A Geometry of Passing' looks through wired, rain-marked glass onto a pale street. A sharp diamond grid and scattered droplets hold distant walkers in partial view, turning an everyday passage into a study of how weather, architecture and distance shape social visibility. It belongs to Puttering around in the Oecumene, Savva Locci's ongoing practice of walking and close observation across cities.
Savva Locci is a London-based photographer whose practice grew from walking and close observation in Hong Kong. Working across street, architectural and reflective photography, he attends to rain, passing figures and built space, holding familiar scenes at the point where memory, distance and uncertainty begin to alter them. Recent recognition includes finalist status in the Pure Street Photography Awards 2026 and a reFocus World Photo Annual 2025 nomination.
