About the work

The main series, 'DUST', expresses the flow of the world's energy and consciousness that I perceive in my daily life. Invisible dust particles floating in the air reveal themselves before our eyes under specific conditions—namely, the Tyndall effect. They signify the existence of an alternate layer of reality that usually goes unnoticed.

‍

The sub-series, 'House', involves photographing and printing images of my family home, which I then physically scratch. Through this process, I seek to sense and express the flow of energy within the house—an energy imbued with the accumulated consciousness of my family over the years.

ASUKI: LIKE DRAWING BREATH

Born in Tokyo in 1973, ASUKI is a Japanese visual performance artist who studied design at Tokyo University of the Arts. Through his project "LIKE DRAWING BREATH," he explores human potential and the nature of the world within the invisible realm, using the act and expression of "drawing lines" as his medium.

‍

His work unfolds across a multifaceted intersection of visual art—centered on drawings—performance, and collaborative creation.

‍

He perceives all environments, including humanity itself, as the flow of waves of consciousness; by transforming this energy into various lines, he gives expression to "the world as it exists right now."

‍

In addition to presenting works through exhibitions and performances in Tokyo (such as *RAIN* and *BREATH*), he conducts participatory workshops, offering experiences that allow anyone to transform artistic gestures into the act of "conscious breathing."
