A woman lies motionless on the floor; her shopping scattered around her. A rope marks the edge of the scene.

‍

What happened?

‍

Is she hurt?

‍

Are we supposed to intervene?

‍

'Woman on the Floor' leaves the moment unresolved and turns the attention back to us: How long do we watch before we decide what to do?

Her tableaux sit between the familiar and unsettling. They offer no verdict; they hold up a mirror and wait to see what we do.
