'Underneath Loop' is part of Underneath, a project exploring care and responsibility in urban spaces shared by human and nonhuman beings. The project considers how vulnerability becomes visible through everyday movement and acts of attention, and how shared spaces can be experienced differently from different positions. 'Underneath Loop' documents moments when shell forms are stepped on and broken along public pathways. Presented as a loop, destruction appears not as a single event, but as a repeated condition within everyday movement.
Yujin Hur is a South Korean multidisciplinary artist based in New York. Working across installation, sculpture, video, and photography, she primarily uses paper, water, and natural pigments. Her work explores natural rhythms and cyclical processes, focusing on things pushed to the margins and the traces they leave behind. She received her MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 2026 and has exhibited in New York and South Korea.
