'Echoes Preserved' is an installation that preserves nature and memories, gradually fading through time and distance, within transparent crystal forms. Plants and rocks held within the crystals symbolise traces of landscapes and life that once existed. The work consists of layered transparent acetate, combining fragments of a digitally created landscape with lines of poetry. Each layer represents a different moment, distance, or fragment of memory. As viewers move around the installation, the relationship between image and text shifts, revealing different views of the landscape and reflecting how memory and our connection with nature are continually transformed by time, distance and perspective.
