After the Centre: The Invisible forces of our time

1/9/2026

After the Centre: The Invisible Forces of Our Time is an international group exhibition organised by London Art Collective (LAC). The exhibition will take place from 11 to 18 September 2026 at The Bomb Factory Marylebone, London.

The exhibition invites artists and interdisciplinary creators working across experimental, critical and cross-disciplinary practices to participate. We live in a world shaped by forces that are often hidden within our everyday experiences. They may take the form of algorithms, data and artificial intelligence, but they can also emerge through memory, emotion, labour, social structures, as well as space, light and ways of seeing.

After the Centre: The Invisible Forces of Our Time seeks to shift attention away from the idea of a grand, dominant “centre” and towards the invisible forcesthat continuously shape how we perceive, behave and experience the world.

Through the practices of participatingartists, the exhibition asks: When we cannot fully control the forces that shapeus, how can we understand them, respond to them, and reposition ourselves?
