“MISMSIM” by Jialong Miao

Jialong Miao's work crossed multiple mediums within art including ceramic sculpture, installation, until 2023 that Miao established his own ceramic creative office, mismsim, which rejected extant models of pottery and deliberately sought to blur the line between pottery and sculpture. Drawing upon Eastern philosophy and contemporary social issues as a conceptual basis, his artworks respond to culture and history and establish an exchange between viewers and the larger universe around them.
