This painting is a manifestation of what Freedom is to me.

Freedom is a painting of an outlook of the Picos D'Europas in Spain. To experience this scene I woke up at 4 AM to hike the road/trail up the mountain, since the roads did not open to vehicles until 9 AM, my principle aim was to capture the sun rise. The process of hiking up the mountain was treacherous as I came into contact with many groups of cows, forcing me to jump over barbed wire fences in the dark to get around them.

As the sun was rising I knew my time was limited as I wanted to capture the volume of light at initial sunrise. As I made it to the top of this outlook, I found myself in a green ocean. While observing this vista I felt that all elements were one, the ocean, the mountains, the light and the sky.
