The wave symbolises the aspect of change. Music, ocean waves, starlight, colours, and temperature all stem from change, and the existence of all changes brings vitality and hope to the world. As the wisdom insight in Buddhist scriptures says, "It is not the wind that moves, nor the flag that moves; it is the mind of the compassionate one that moves."
