Jonathan Bennett was born in Stoke-on-Trent in 1962. He studied Fine Art at Leeds Polytechnic before moving to Sheffield, where he lived and worked as a practising artist. This period culminated in a one person show at the Mappin Art Gallery in 1990. He then went on to do an MA in Site Specific Sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art. Since living in London he has completed a number of public art commissions, worked in art education, exhibited his work, played a bit of music, and started a landscape gardening business. He lives in Hackney with his partner and two boys, drawing and painting whenever he gets the opportunity.
